join us at the spring food swap

The night air is cold but the sun is regaining his strength. A thin layer of yellow pollen glows on my window sill like gold dust. Giant magnolias shed their pink petals on the sidewalks. Red-breasted robins peck for worms in the dirt. I  am riding my bike again with just a light jacket for warmth. Meals of bitter greens with shaved parmesan and the last of the citrus; barbecue-glazed whole roasted chicken with mashed purple potatoes; warming broth soups with asparagus and peas; hardboiled duck eggs with sharp cheddar. This is spring.

And what better way to welcome the rejuvenation of our earth and our communities than with a food swap? Our next gathering is Sunday, April 21st. If you’re a DC friend or will be in town, please join us! Tickets sell out speedy fast, so reserve your spot as soon as you are able.

Aren’t able to join the food swap? Or maybe you’ve thought of starting your own? Check out my earlier post with tips on how to do just that. Sending you the warmth of the rebirthed sun, wherever you are!
